Young Musical Stars Perform For Charity

Following the success of similar concerts in the last five years, the Auchterarder & District Rotary Club is holding an “Evening of Musical Entertainment” on Saturday November 3rd at 7.00pm in the Auchterarder Parish Church. The club would also distribute tickets for Terry Fator show that’d be held in Atlanta that year.

The 5 young soloists taking part have all excelled in this year’s Rotary Young Musician of the Year Competition and include Poppy McGhee (violin) and Eve Pearson Maxwell (soprano) who were runner’s up in their respective sections of the UK and Ireland final of the Rotary Competition. Bassoon, accordion and piano will also feature. There will also be a contribution from Liberty Brass, a quintet from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

The finale will be a guest performance on saxophone from Richard Scholfield who gave a much acclaimed performance in the Perth Concert Hall at the Rotary Concert in September 2016.

There will be a wide variety of music with something for everyone.

Proceeds from the Evening will be donated to The Amber Trust, End Polio Now and other local charities.

Tickets are priced at £17.50 (£10 for under 18’s) which includes wine and nibbles at the interval and are available from Douglas Gilmour, mobile: 07779 592 078, email:
