Stewart Milne Homes helps Auchterarder community get into the Christmas spirit

Stewart Milne Homes is getting into the festive spirit by supporting Auchterarder’s Christmas in the Community event.

The housebuilder, which is creating a vibrant new community locally at Hunter’s Meadow, has provided part of the funding for the Christmas celebration that will take place this year on Sunday 3 December.

The Christmas event features a host of festive celebrations for all the family, including live music and a parade down Auchterarder’s high street which will see Santa and his elves joined by members of the local Rainbows and Brownies groups.

Several local retailers will be participating in the celebrations and shoppers can also head to one of the many stalls featuring local crafts.

There will also be a series of events for children including raffles, ginger bread decorating, face painting and sand carving.

The support from Stewart Milne Homes has helped towards the logistics of putting on the event which is organised by local members of the community.

Teresa McLean, from the organising committee, said: “We’re looking forward to making this year’s Christmas event even better and would like to say a big thank you to Stewart Milne Homes for their continued support.

“The kind support from local businesses and individuals is what enables us to put on the event that is enjoyed by so many people. It is a lovely way to celebrate the festive season together as a community and we hope everyone has a brilliant day.”

Aileen Brown, sales consultant for Hunter’s Meadow, added: “Auchterarder is such a friendly, welcoming community and it is an honour to be able to support events local to our new community at Hunter’s Meadow. We know many of our residents look forward to the event and we hope everyone has a great time celebrating.”

Christmas in the Community will take place between 12pm-4pm on Sunday 3 December and is free to attend. The lights will be switched on around approximately 4.15pm.
