Today is the day that my kitchen is getting painted and yet again I have been shown the benefits of shopping local.
The person painting is a friend of my daughters, the paint etc was still to be purchased so they headed up to Urquharts to purchase same. There was no specific guideline for the colour just that I wanted peely wally pink/green or blue.
True to form, my daughter headed to Urquharts and advised them that her mother needed kitchen paint in peely wally pink. The joy of shopping local is that they knew exactly who my daughter was and realised exactly what I needed. Along with the accoutrements required to ensure a good paint job.
No travelling to Perth required, no trying to find the correct kind of paint, just walk into the shop, let them know what you want and know that you have the correct tools for the job.
By the end of today I should have a lovely newly painted kitchen in the palest of pink. I am looking forward to seeing the end result.
It’s amazing how long it has taken me to realise just what is available on my own doorstep, even when I have been working in the town for the last couple of years. Why not take the time to wander down the High Street one day and check out just what is available locally, you may be pleasantly surprised.
