Perth & Kinross Council’s Childcare Strategy Team will be hosting two free introductory sessions on Thursday 9 March 2017, for anyone who is considering childminding as a career.
These sessions give an opportunity to find out exactly what childminding involves and to consider the potential impact becoming a childminder could have on your own home and family life.
No formal qualifications are currently required, but childminders have to register with the Care Inspectorate before they can begin looking after children.
There are two opportunities to attend on the day: a morning session from 9.30am – 11.30am, with a crèche provided; and an evening session from 7.00pm – 9.00pm. Both sessions will be held in the Community Wing at Perth Grammar School, Gowans Terrace, Perth PH1 5AZ
If after attending an introductory session you would like to find out more, the next step is to book your place on a pre-registration course. For further details, please visit our Childminding page.
Anyone interested in attending either of the introductory sessions, or wishing to be kept informed of future event dates, should please contact the Childcare Strategy Team on 01738 472350 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
