Perthshire Open Studios Showcase Exhibition is open for business.
From 26th August until 10 September you can visit the Showcase Exhibition in The Barn Gallery at The Bield at Blackruthven in Tibbermore. The Exhibition shows works from artists right across the region and is an excellent place to see works from artists taking part in the Open Studios event in September.
With works ranging from soaps and candles to jewellery, woodworking, ceramics, textiles and of course artworks there is something for everyone including a giraffe and a cow.
Duncan Campbell the chair of Perthshire Open Studios welcomed guests to the event and thanked organisers, sponsors and participants for helping it reach its 10th year. Provost Dennis Melloy thanked all of those involved for making this event such a success as he declared the exhibition officially open.
Mr Campell then invited Guest Artist Luisa Ramazzotti to say a few words. Luisa thanked all those involved for their dedication to the event and for the opportunity of being Guest Artist with such a great space to work in.
After the speeches, I managed to catch up with a couple of local artists Lorna Radbourne and Ceri White who both have studios in the Lang Toon Times area. Both these artists are taking part in the Open Studios event and look forward to welcoming visitors from 2-10 September. A fantastic opportunity to see artists at work and ask any questions you may have about their art.
