Big-hearted members of the Perthshire Businesswomen’s Network (PBN) have voted to support The ARCHIE Foundation as their chosen charity for the 2017-18 committee term.
Proceeds from PBN’s main fundraising event later this year will go towards the high-profile organisation which supports children’s hospitals in Tayside and beyond.
The ARCHIE Foundation is the official charity of Tayside Children’s Hospital in Dundee. The charity also supports other children’s hospitals in Scotland and has a long history of making big differences for local children. Everything the charity raises in and for Tayside stays in Tayside.
Cassie Thompson, Director of Fundraising at The ARCHIE Foundation, described PBN’s gesture as “wonderful news”.
She said “On behalf of The ARCHIE Foundation, our huge heartfelt thanks to PBN members for choosing ARCHIE. We can’t thank you enough for supporting us in 2017/18. Every penny will make a real genuine difference to the lives of local children and we very much look forward to working with you!”
Jane Rennie, PBN Chairwoman, thanked PBN members for taking the time to vote.
She added: “Last year, we successfully raised funds Perthshire Women’s Aid. We hope, with the election of a new, well-connected committee, our efforts will see a sizeable donation to The ARCHIE Foundation, with a cheque presented at the AGM in April 2018.”
