Auchterarder Bloom Association: Gary’s Corner

The Auchterarder and District Community Trust was set up in 2008 to award money for local developments – including the Auchterarder Community Sport & Recreation and the GWest luxury resort – to groups which provide a benefit to local residents. It has also also recently absorbed the remaining monies from the ‘West Perthshire Recreation Facility’ known as the Swimming Pool fund. This will boost our ability to support local projects going forward and means there will be less confusion about which funds exist in the area.

The group applying for funding doesn’t need to be in this area, provided the people who use the group are Auchterarder & District residents.

Applicants also needn’t be registered charities. However, the project they want help in funding must be charitable in its nature. Since it started the Trust has now made awards totalling almost £332k to 88 different projects.

The Trust currently meets to consider grants three times a year – in January, May, and September – the substantial funds held in trust mean there is no maximum or minimum donation, so please get thinking on projects that could benefit local residents!
