There is a proposal for changes to the layout of the junction between Orchil Road and Easthill Road.
Perth and Kinross Council have asked that the Auchterarder and District Community Council aid in consulting with local residents who may wish to have some input into the proposed changes.
Remember you can comment on this proposal whether you approve or disapprove. The more responses the truer result will be available to the council.
Please see below the letter received in this regard.
“Following complaints about the lack of visibility from Easthill Road and the lack of compliance of the mini-roundabout by some drivers, PKC has been tasked with replacing the roundabout with a priority junction. While visibility will be improved this may lead to an increase in vehicle speeds along Orchill Road. To offset this, a vehicle active sign will be installed on the east-bound approach to the junction.
Please see attached consultation drawing which shows the existing mini-roundabout to be removed and a new give-way junction to be installed on Orchill Road with its junction with Easthill road.
We are consulting with Local Residents, Elected Members and the Community Council, if you have any comments can you please pass them to me.
Could you please also pass the drawing on to any residents which you are aware of who already have an interest in the project.
If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
