Opportunity For Community Group To Help Perth Museum


On 26th May Perth Museum and Art Gallery, in collaboration with the National Museums of Scotland, will open their ‘Dress to Impress’ exhibition highlighting objects from the collections and that of the National Museum of Scotland, based around the East Asian cultures of Korea, Japan and Mainland China.

We are looking for 4 community groups to take part in our Community Robe Workshops to produce a robe to go on display at Perth Museum. Max per workshop-20.

Groups would take part in a workshop run by Barbara Hamilton at the museum and:

* See the ‘Dress to Impress’ exhibition and use of it to inspire designs.

* Using fabric pens to develop their own designs which will be added to a panel of what will become a community robe.

* Participants will be invited back to an unveiling event of the community robe, to be held on Thursday 26th June (11am-12.30pm)
