Are you on your own? Bored sitting looking at the four walls? Why not come and join us at the new social events starting in Auchterarder? Starting this month these events will happen twice a month in the new year helping people get to know each other and get to know what is happening in the town.
A joint venture between Lang Toon Times and Balhousie Ruthven Towers these events are a chance for people to get together over a tea/coffee and biscuits and have a chat and socialise. Whether you are in your twenties or eighties these events are there to give you an opportunity to come down to the Institute and catch up with others in the town.
Jozi Stables from Balhousie Ruthven Towers is very keen to see these events starting, “We know many of our residents have family and friends on their own in the town. This is a great opportunity to have something where people can go on an informal basis and just have a coffee and chat to others. We also want it to be open to all age groups as it’s not only the elderly who get lonely or bored.
The first of these get togethers will be on Wednesday 20th December at 2pm in the Institute at the Aytoun Hall. There will be tea/coffee and biscuits and a chance to catch up with others. Why not come down and catch up with the local news and views with your friends? There is no charge although any donations would be welcome, especially if you want to bring some of your favourite biscuits or maybe even some baking.
We look forward to seeing you there.
