Despite many months of COVID restrictions, a fascinating Heritage display has now been installed as part of a permanent feature in the historic village of Aberuthven. The display has been attached to the railings of the school which means it can be accessed by everyone at any time.

Writer and broadcaster, Robin Bell worked with Aberuthven Primary School to produce the display, which ranges from prehistoric to modern times.

“I am impressed with the hard work and skills that the school put into the project and the encouragement from the local community.” said Robin.

Mrs Tyrrell shared, “The project was such a wonderful opportunity for our pupils and staff to be part of. It was so interesting and enriching to learn about the history of Aberuthven village and greatly beneficial for our pupils to have the experience of putting together an information board to be enjoyed by everyone within the local community, both now and for years to come”

If you happen to be out and about in Aberuthven, why not stop and have a look at the history of the area? It’s amazing how much has gone on before and fascinating to be able to find out so many new facts.

The boards were beautifully produced by Danscot Print of Perth. The project was funded by the Robin and Eirwen Bell Trust.
