Today saw the return of the Hot Rod Show to Blackford Games Park. Custom car club the Phantoms Street Kruisers who hold their meetings in Dunblane returned to Blackford for their 13th Annual Hootenanny.
A weekend event which sees members arriving from Friday night and setting up camp, an outing on Saturday which had members driving to Grangemouth to visit Rock n Roll Motors and the “Show and Shine” on Sunday where members put their vehicular pride and joy on show and invite others from around the country to join.
The winner of this years “Best in Show” award was Willie Boyd’s 40s Chevrolet Pick Up Truck, a beautiful vehicle. There were also two distance awards given out to participants from the Orkney Islands and Sheffield.
Speaking to Jonsie the organiser of the event after the show he was delighted with the way the show had gone. “It was great to be back at Blackford Games Park and we would like to thank the committee for their help in arranging our return. A huge thanks also to everyone who came along for the weekend as well as those who came to the show on Sunday both to participate and to see the cars. We are looking forward to next year as we keep building the show’s reputation as one of the best and friendliest Hot Rod shows in the country.”
