The 2018 junior team tennis season has drawn to a close with the Gleneagles junior boys tennis teams from the Adam Brown Tennis Academy successfully defending the titles they won last year!
With an increased number of teams involved this year, both the 12 and under and the 14 and under teams competed in the North of Scotland leagues. This involved journeys up to Elgin, Stonehaven, Inverness and Aberdeen as well as local matches to fulfil their fixtures. Both teams were undefeated all season.
The 14U team also gave themselves the challenge of competing in the 16U leagues as well and finished a very creditable third.
Head Coach, Adam Brown said “I’m delighted the teams have done so well. We have a good squad of players and everyone has played their part in the overall victories! The players really enjoy the team competitions and they are an important part of their development. It’s a great reward for their hard work and training. There’s also a big thanks due to the parents who are willing to take the teams to the away matches!”
In addition to their regular programme of lessons, the Adam Brown Tennis Academy is able to offer competitive opportunities for players of all levels. As well as their competition squads, they regularly run matchplay sessions for all ages for those players who are wanting to improve further and gain experience of playing in a match situation.
