First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was in Auchterarder today with the SNP candidate for Ochil and South Perthshire Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh.
There was plenty time for selfies and chatting to local residents as they visited local businesses and sampled some of the goodies available. With some ice cream from Simply Sweet and Prosecco from Bianco Bistro, the visit started off in summery style.
A number of locals had turned out to meet the First Minister and she was happy to chat and take photographs as she made her way round the town.
Speaking to local Bistro owner Andrea Douglas she was very positive about the whole experience. “It was a great thing for Auchterarder as a whole to have a visit from the First Minister. She took time to speak to local residents, staff and family. She even made a cup of coffee for a customer who came in which had us all laughing. That she has taken the time to visit and talk to everyone is a boost for the town.”
Further on and dropping in on Ellies Cellar, Simon Howies and Café Kisa to name a few, the First Minister has made her way through the town stopping to speak to residents and take photographs along the way.
