Auchterarder Wins Top Award

You may have noticed in the last few years that the floral displays in Auchterarder just seem to get better and better.  You wouldn’t be alone in that thought, the judges of Take a Pride in Perth and Kinross agree with you.
The Take a pride in P&K awards 2017 took place in the Salutation Hotel Perth last night. There are now 48 bloom groups in Perthshire and the winning towns and villages received their awards from Provost Dennis Molloy.
Auchterarder Bloom Association received a Silver Gilt award for this years’s displays throughout the town and they were also winners of the “Small Country Town” category.
Committee members John Boyd and Martha Marnoch were present to receive the awards and afterwards John said, “Winning the top award in the Perthshire small country town category is a marvellous result for our small dedicated team of volunteers who work hard through the year to ensure that our town looks good to all those who come to visit us.”
Congratulations to all members of Auchterarder Bloom Association who work so hard to keep the town looking so beautiful.  It is fantastic to see all your hard work acknowledged and rewarded.
